SUGAR IS SUGAR

FRUIT IS FOR DESSERT,NOT BREAKFAST

By the way, fruit is sugar! Yes, fruit does have fiber and yes it does have vitamins. Vegetables also have fiber and vitamins. Eat some of those. Fructose makes you fat. That is a fact. Read about it here or watch this lovely YouTube video by a PhD who has been studying it for 30 years.

FAT DOESN'T MAKE YOU FAT

You eat too much. That makes you fat. But it’s not your fault. In the 60’s and 70’s Americans were told to eat grains and fruit for breakfast. Now we are hungry all the time, our gut health is destroyed, and 65% of Americans over the age of 45 have developed insulin resistance aka pre-diabetes. The most obvious sign of insulin resistance is visceral fat or belly fat.

WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN

When you feed the bacteria in your gut sugar, they breed more bacteria that like sugar. These bacteria drive your cravings. It’s that simple. Our bodies can either burn fat or sugar (glucose) for energy. But we can only store so much sugar (glycogen) at a time. So when we are running on sugar, we need to eat much more often.

FAT STORAGE

This leads to over eating and the storage of fat. Except this fat is not available for energy if we have only trained our bodies to run on sugar. On the contrary, when we have trained our bodies to use fat for energy (in addition to glucose), we don’t need to eat as often and we don’t have the same hunger cravings because we breed healthy gut bacteria.

HIGH FAT DIET

This is the basis of a high fat diet. A high fat diet does not have to be a Ketogenic Diet. But in any case, your dietary goals should be to increase insulin sensitivity and reduce inflammation. In doing so, you will improve gut health, reduce visceral fat and increase longevity.
